The importance of a responsive website

In today's digital age, having a website for your business is no longer just a luxury, but a necessity. However, simply having a website is not enough. To truly stay competitive and reach a wider audience, it is essential to have a website that is responsive, meaning it can adapt to any device or screen size.

We developed this website for document solutions company Greendocs. They wanted their website to be clean, clear and easy to navigate. They also wanted their services to be described visually which Yoke achieved by designing animated GIFFS and creating an explainer video using stop motion.

Greendocs are a forward thinking company with an eco-heart. Joining a competitive market, they have some unique USP’s to shout about - providing award-winning office products that are kind to our environment. Greendocs are a proud key partner of Toshiba, and part of their Carbon zero scheme. This helps combat CO2 emissions through the offsetting of all the products they sell. Everything they do to run as an organisation has an 'environmental impact first' approach, from energy conservation methods, to recycling, electric vehicles, and digital processes.

When designing and build the website we had to keep in mind that their customers would be using their website to access many of their services - including requesting a toner, booking a service and viewing details of their various products etc.

A responsive website is important for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it ensures that your website can be easily accessed and navigated on any device. This includes desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. With the increasing use of mobile devices to browse the internet, it is crucial that your website can be easily viewed and interacted with on a small screen.

Another important aspect of a responsive website is its impact on search engine optimization (SEO). Google and other search engines prioritise mobile-friendly websites in their search results. This means that a responsive website is more likely to rank higher in search results, leading to more visibility and traffic.

If you would like a beautifully designed responsive website, please don’t hesitate to contact us at Yoke and find out how we can help your business grow!
