Animated Ident & Sound Design for an NFT Platform

VERSE

We had the pleasure of creating an animated ident for new NFT platform verse. Bringing their logo to life with motion graphics and bespoke SFX too. We worked with the fantastic Shabazz L Graham Productions on this artist video series - ‘verse meets’.

Verse are a pioneering new NFT platform. They’ve sold works by Warhol and Picasso and curated for Tate. Their mission is to make art accessible for everyone, working in a transparent and inclusive way. They are a carbon neutral company too, tracking and offsetting all blockchain carbon emissions.

For their debut exhibition verse is collaborating with 12 artists. Among them are artists, and as well as Christie's digital art specialist Noah Davis. Each collaborator has nominated a different NFT artwork for an exhibition entitled ‘This Is Tomorrow’, which was named after a 1956 exhibition at Whitechapel Gallery. The exhibition is being led by former Tate curator and art advisor Leyla Fakhr. The NFT space is levelling up - exciting times!

A little about Verse from one of their founders - Jamie Gourlay

So, what's verse all about?

Well, having spent a fair bit of time in the art world, it's clear that NFTs allow for a better way. The art industry's current model sees galleries incur high costs (shipping, gallery space). Artists pay galleries 50% because of those costs, and collectors end up with illiquid assets as a result.

With verse, we hope to lay some better foundations for the physical art world’s digital sister that improve the lives of galleries, artists, and collectors. We're not trying to disrupt the physical art world - we're trying to give people an additional option.
